Things to do at Home
To make this year a success for all of us, We have included some ideas for ways you can help your child do well in school this year.
1.Be positive about school!
2.Read with and to your child daily. Talk to your child about the stories.
3. Go over the Homework with your child, and sign and return the Friday folder to school by Monday.
4.Ask how your child’s day was each day! Encourage them!
5. Attend school functions when possible. (Parent-teacher conferences, school events, etc.)
6. Set up consistent routines for bedtime, reading, and getting ready for school in the morning.
7. Keep in touch with me if you are concerned about your child’s progress. I will do the same!

Friday Folder
Weekly work and important papers will come home every Friday in your child’s Friday Folder. Please review the work with them over the weekend. Please sign the folder each week. This lets us know that you have seen the Friday folder, the class newsletter, and the important papers within it. Your child knows that this folder should be returned on Monday morning, empty and signed.
Birthdays
Birthdays are a fun and important time for each child, so we will be celebrating them throughout the year. We currently have about 21 students per class, and you are welcome to send special birthday treats or favors for each child. Please make sure any food treats you send are approved on our school Peanut Free Food List.
