Welcome to Third Grade!
Hello, my name is Linda Pasquin and I am happy to be your child’s third grade teacher. Lopez has been my teaching home for 26 years. I say “home” because the Lopez community is so caring. My boys (ages 17 and 20) are both Lopez graduates because I wanted them to experience this school. I have a double certification in Special Education and Elementary Education. So before moving to third grade I taught various ages and levels of students with special needs. I am happy to have found my place with third graders. They are my favorite age because they are so capable and eager to learn.
Some things that I like to do are: garden, ski, eat at restaurants, read, and hang out with my family. I am a busy, working parent so I can relate to what it’s like to rush out the door, making sure everyone has everything they need, papers are signed, lunches are packed or paid for, and rides or carpools are arranged. I also know that the “Friday Folder” can easily become the “Sunday night Folder”. I think it’s important to balance homework and school responsibilities with the need for family time and activities like sports or art that happen outside the school day.
The best way to contact me is by e-mail: [email protected]. My school phone number is 488-8812.
I’m looking forward to meeting you all!
